<p>I&#8217;m planning on having my vet out for spring shots so I will talk to him about her behavior and possible causes as well.</p>
<p>The only grain she&#8217;s had since I got her(last July) is in the treats my grandpa gives her. I think he gives her one quarter sized treat every 2 or 3 days or whenever he&hellip;</p>

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep mares more comfortable while in heat?</p>
<p>This post probably seems silly to some of you but this is the first mare I&#8217;ve owned and I&#8217;m not quite sure what to think! My mare is so grumpy and difficult to work with right now and it makes me sad seeing her so unhappy! She&#8217;s extremely girthy&hellip;</p>

It&#8217;s a big sigh relaxing yawn that makes me think she&#8217;s stressed up until that point when I feed her. She is on a dry lot(hopefully the grass will pick up and she can start on pasture soon) but she gets feed hay at least three times a day. Of course I would love for her to have hay free choice but&hellip;</p>

Ever since I started buying SBM, about a year ago, the price had gone steadily up to $8 more than what I first paid per bag. Soybeans are grown pretty easily here in Virginia and I haven&#8217;t heard of anything that would increse prices.&hellip;</p>

Older, yes, I know, but for my first horse he was exactly what I needed. The first 3 years were easy, he could keep weight just fine on pasture alone and I had no complaints regarding his perfect mustang hooves or his shiny coat.
