Medications in Equine Dentistry are essential to understanding why they are used and, more importantly, why they are often not used properly. One of the buttons you can push on me is this: I dislike using the terms “tranq” and “sedate.” These imply that the cause is the human working on the horse. I prefer the term “medicate” as this implies thought and reasoning behind the selection of the medications for the individual horse.
